BioWell, I had a Gastric Bypass (Proximal) July 21st of 2003, and have lost 150 lbs...I have a daughter who is 22 & georgeous. I love the way things are turning out in my life now with the weight loss & want to try to begin a LJ with other people who have also lost weight thru surgery OR diets, ect. I had this surgery because I have heart/lung disease & if I didn't get this weight off, it would have killed me..I had, back in 1986 a "vertical banded gastroplacty with marlex mesh" procedure, AND lost maybe 50lbs...then for 15 years threw up, AND finally I found out why....the band was made out of silicone & it "ruptured" and caused me to throw up yet not to loose any more weight..So, my WLS was a GREAT thing!!!!
I am a retired nurse/psychologist and as you must be able to tell, bored sometimes....I kill time on the computer playing games....and I do go to local & National Rock shows, as I love to hear live music. I also merch for a few bands & used to since I was a teen...I just love to promote good music! I have a bunch of tattoos, and a few piercings, too! I have a georgeous cat named "Twiggy" (not after the 60's model, but after a bassist in Marilyn Manson's band) who I love! He is a male & I will be posting pics of him soon....he is 1&1/2 years old & is BIG!!! He is the "man" of the house here!
This is the Memorial Shrine for my Grandson Daniel Lestat Kaileigh Knotts Born and Died Febuary 5th, 2006. The rosary & angel & angel hanging thing on the one picture was a gift from his Godmother, Rachel. He has a few cute things near to him, this is all new to us all, but this IS his final resting place & I know all who knows Karah & Larry respect Danny's place where it is, and it hasn't bothered them at all. The little shoes & his Urn was from my Nephew, Andrew & his wife Michelle. The little green box has hospital pics & things Johns Hopkins made for Karah & Larry, a Memory Box tribute.
